Welcome to the Talebar Ranch
Since 1985 we have had horses as a part of our daily lives. There is no question that horses are good for the soul! We strive to raise beautiful horses for the purpose of ranch work, barrel racing, halter and trail. We've used many of our horses for sorting cattle in feedlots and gathering cows from pastures. Majority are level headed, nice dispositions, and trainable. We've been breeding these lines for many years and know first hand the babies have tremendous potential. The foals do take after their parents, so it's important for us to use breeding stock that seeks out human interaction and easy to handle. Majority of our breeding stock was purchased at a very young age, we've watched them grow over the years. We can officially say that you will not find a traded horses here on the ranch. They were purchased at a very young age (Majority under the age of one) or were born here.
A TALEBAR AQHA IS ONE OF A KIND!
Panel Testing Information:
All Breeding horses are at least 5 panel tested. A lot of the babies produced are now 5 panel clean some are 6 panel clean.
It is possible a small few horses or babies are carriers of N/Gbed or N/Pssm1. The newest test for AQHA horses is for IMM this is #6. Although we have not tested every one at this time for IMM, some foals maybe carriers. As time goes on the AQHA will probably be adding more disease panel testing. Currently there are around 20+ different tests across all equines. If this is something that is important to you, please reach out to us about the horse you are interested in and we can let you know which ones are possibly 4, 5 or 6 panel clean.
When you buy a horse from us:
At pickup you will receive a copy of the AQHA papers. AQHA would like breeders to transfer all papers into the new owners names. All registration papers will be held by the sellers until all forms of payments clear. This generally takes two weeks. Transfer forms will be filled out at the time of pickup of the horse. We will mail the AQHA papers in for you. Buyers will be charged $40 (Member) and $65 (Non-Member) Transfer fee. Coggins/travel health (out of state) Fee of $75 for every horse under $2000. In-State buyers have the option to wave the Coggins/Health. Horses sold On Hold For Pickup require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the sale price until the horse / foal can be picked up. All shipping expenses are the responsibility of the buyer. We do offer a discount for multiple purchases and repeat buyers. Horses are sold AS is and we recommend you read our Terms and Conditions. We also use a buyers contract. The contract helps keep dates, amounts and terms of the sale all documented. This way, as a buyer you know you are purchasing the horse that appears on the website/social media and it is reserved for you. If you see a horse you are interested in please feel free to contact us to find out more information or to discuss the details.
